JackStack (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides personal health, fitness, and performance analytics tools designed to help individuals understand trends in wellness, sleep, stress, activity, and training load. We take privacy seriously and are committed to protecting any personal data that is provided to us.

This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we collect, how we use it, how it is stored, and the rights users have with respect to their data. By using JackStack, you agree to the terms outlined here.

1. Information We Collect

When a user connects their Garmin account to JackStack, we may collect:

A. Garmin Activity & Health Data

With a user’s explicit authorization, we may receive data made available through the Garmin Connect Developer Program, which may include:

• Activity data (running, strength training, cycling, cardio, etc.)
• Daily summary metrics (steps, intensity minutes, calories, distance)
• Heart rate and heart rate variability metrics
• Sleep data and sleep scores
• Stress and Body Battery metrics
• Training load and performance-related metrics
• Any additional Garmin endpoints authorized by the user

We collect only the data the user consents to share through Garmin’s authorization process.

B. Account & Authentication Data

If a user creates an account with JackStack, we may collect:

• Email address
• Name or display name
• Authentication or refresh tokens needed to connect third-party services (such as Garmin)

We never receive or store a user’s Garmin password or login credentials.

C. Usage Data (Minimal)

We may collect basic technical information such as browser or device type, time of access, and error logs to help improve platform reliability and performance. We do not perform behavioral advertising tracking or cross-site profiling.

2. How We Use Personal Data

We use the information we collect for purposes including:

• Importing, processing, and analyzing Garmin health and activity data
• Generating personalized dashboards, trends, and insights
• Helping users understand relationships between sleep, stress, activity, and performance
• Maintaining user accounts and authentication
• Improving the platform and developing new features
• Providing customer support when requested

We do not sell personal data, lease it, or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. How We Store and Protect Data

Data is stored securely using industry-standard methods, including encryption in transit (e.g., HTTPS) and, where applicable, encryption at rest. Access to personal data is limited to authorized personnel involved in developing or supporting the platform.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or provide user data to advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.

We may use aggregated, anonymized statistics (for example, average sleep duration across users) for analytics or product improvement, but these do not identify any individual.

We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law, or if a user explicitly requests that we share or export their data.

5. User Control and Rights

Users retain control over their data and may:

• Disconnect Garmin data access at any time
• Request deletion of all personal data stored by JackStack
• Request an export of their personal data in a portable format

To exercise these rights, users may contact us at privacy@jackstack.app. We aim to respond to all requests within a reasonable time, typically within 30 days.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as the user’s account remains active or as long as we have a legitimate need for it to provide the service. If a user revokes Garmin authorization or requests account deletion, we will remove associated personal data from our systems within a reasonable period, subject to any legal obligations.

7. Children’s Privacy

JackStack is not intended for children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our platform evolves or as legal requirements change. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of JackStack after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
